"This seminar has been extremely inspiring to me. As my husband and I prepare to be first time Sunday School teachers in youth, you have given me great information and most of all great inspiration and encouragement."

Two Questions That Can Change Eternity

It is the first of the quarter and I want to invite you to ask two questions that can change eternity.

Question #1: What two people have you thoroughly assimilated this past quarter? That is the goal, to thoroughly assimilate two new people per class per quarter. This breaks down the cause of world evangelization into a bite size piece that we can understand. Two people per class per quarter. If we can do that, we can turn the world upside down.

If we did not thoroughly assimilate two people this past quarter, we stand in grace. We don't feel guilty; guilt has no place in the Christian life. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ. (Romans 8:1) We stand in grace, we bask in grace. But, we purpose to achieve the goal, which leads us to the next question.

Question #2: What two people will we thoroughly assimilate this next quarter? If you would thoroughly assimilate them, you probably already know who they are. Perhaps they have visited, or you have visited in their home. Perhaps you have had them to your home for a "Friday nights for Jesus." That is, an informal time of Diet Coke, Coffee Cake and cards. If you don't already know who they are, you might purpose to find two new people to thoroughly assimilate right away.

Now, let me define my terms: a thoroughly assimilated person is a person whose name is scribbled on the back of half a dozen members' phone books. That is, these are not names merely on a class role, these are friends. These are people who have been in my home. These are people who I have gone to dinner with. These are people that I eat pizza with on Friday nights. These are friends.

In order to accomplish the goal of thoroughly assimilating two people per group per quarter, I would invite you to ask two other questions:

  • What three parties will we enjoy in the next three months?

  • Who will be involved in planning the parties and inviting every member and every prospect to these parties?

  • If we can thoroughly assimilate two people per class per quarter we can turn the world upside down. We can be the faithful servants who take what they have been given and double it. (Matthew 25) All eternity can be different.

    Family Bible Study™
    Interactive Video Supplement Feedback

    Dear Josh,
Just wanted you to know that we used the first lesson in the Family Bible Video Series yesterday, and it was a big success. A teacher called me late Saturday evening while I was in the middle of taking down Christmas decorations, and it was such a relief to me to know that we had the video. I did not panic at all. I had previously reviewed the video at our teachers' meeting, and I read through the lesson again, but I felt confident and prepared to lead the class. The class was one of our senior classes (60-70). There were about 20 in attendance, and they all participated, and the feedback I received was very positive. Thank you for making this available. I plan to make this a regular part of our teachers' meetings.

THANK YOU for helping us get back on track. I truly feel that we are co-laborers together. Best regards,

    Rose Haselden,
