Over and over in the Bible we are told to serve, “so that it may go well with us.” God is good. Serving Him is good. It is always in our best interest to live the Christian life.
NIV- Deut 4:40 Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
NIV- Deut 5:16 16 “Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
NIV- Deut 6:3 Hear, O Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your fathers, promised you.
NIV- Deut 6:18 Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land that the Lord promised on oath to your forefathers,
NIV- Deut 12:25 Do not eat it, so that it may go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
NIV- Deut 19:13 Show him no pity. You must purge from Israel the guilt of shedding innocent blood, so that it may go well with you.
NIV- Deut 22:7 You may take the young, but be sure to let the mother go, so that it may go well with you and you may have a long life.
NIV- Jer 7:23 but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you.
NIV- Eph 6:3 “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
