If your desire is for God to use you more as a servant, the most important first step you can take is to make sure you’re serving those who live under your roof—your wife and children. What you are at home is what you are!

Then look at your major life commitments, such as your job. There, you’ll find many opportunities to show Christlike love, sacrifice, and patience toward others. And if you belong to a club or sports team, showing a servant’s heart in everything you do will cause people to see God and Christianity in a positive light.

The more you manifest a servant’s heart in all you do, the more of an impact you’ll have on people’s lives.

Lord, open my eyes today so I can see opportunities to serve my family, my co-workers, and my friends. Help me to serve with joy as You strengthen me through Your Word and Spirit. Amen.
